Most Profitable Games Per User

Estimated ARPDAU — average daily revenue per daily active user, derived from annual revenue ÷ DAU ÷ 365. Limited to free-to-play and live-service titles, where per-user economics are meaningful. Premium games are excluded because one-time box sales distort the ratio. True ARPU and ARPMAU are rarely published by operators.

Global Gaming Industry Revenue (2005–2025)

Two decades of global video game revenue broken out by mobile, PC and console, in US dollars. Data from Newzoo, PwC and company filings.

How We Get These Statistics

Our figures are aggregated from a mix of primary and secondary sources: publisher earnings reports and investor filings (Activision Blizzard, Tencent, NetEase, Nintendo, Sony, Take-Two, Roblox Corp), platform-level disclosures from Valve, the App Store and Google Play, third-party analytics providers (Sensor Tower, data.ai, Newzoo, SteamDB, GameDiscoverCo) and direct developer statements made in interviews, investor calls and press releases.

Where publishers do not disclose exact numbers, we triangulate using concurrent player counts, in-app purchase charts and observable download velocity. Mobile DAU is split between Android and iOS using each title's regional distribution and the prevailing 70/30 DAU, 55/45 revenue ratio the mobile market has trended toward in 2025–2026. PC figures are split between Steam and non-Steam ecosystems per title depending on where each game is actually distributed.

Every number on this page is an informed estimate as of the most recent quarter available. Figures are refreshed every three months and rounded for readability. If you spot something that looks off, we'd love to hear about it.
